About Victor Harbor
Location 85 kms form Adelaide. A 70 minute drive to the centre of the Fleurieu Peninsula from where you can stop on your way to visit the wine districts of McLaren Vale and lots more.




From June to September you may see the whales with their calves just off shore tail slapping and breaching! You may also wish to visit the SA Whale Centre and learn all about the Southern Right Whale and other species that frequent this coast.
Take a ride over to Granite Island across the causeway, which is pulled by a Clydesdale team of horses. The Horse Drawn Tram has been running since 1875. Then you may like to take a stroll back on foot to admire the view.
A visit to the Urimbirra Wildlife Park is also a must. Feed the kangaroos or stoke the koala and see many more Australian native animals. Just across the road is a flora and fauna park with lovely relaxing gardens with many wild bird species. Just pack a lunch and enjoy!
For the sport minded, McCracken Golf Club is just a two minute drive. Here you can hire all you need. Golfers will also enjoy the world class Victor Harbor Golf Club with exquisite bowling greens.
Families enjoy the Greenhills Adventure Park for archery, water slides, paddle boats, canoes, go carts, par 3 golf and more!
The Cockle Train is a must. It runs from Victor Harbor to Goolwa where you can have a stroll around the shops, take in a coffee or just smell the roses and enjoy the ocean views.
The Hindmarsh River Trail walk has some lovely country walks. Plus there is a bike track that starts at The Bluff and takes you all the way to Goolwa.
Festivals are on the go different times of the year. The Rock 'n Roll Festival, the Whaletime Playtime Festival, the Vintage Car Rally, Tour Down Under, Triathlons, Energy Fair and markets every weekend.
For your dining pleasure, there are many good restaurants, cafes, delicatessens, take aways, Chinese, Thai, Indian and wood fired pizzas. Plus several hotels with dining facilities.
Victor Harbor and surrounds more than welcomes you with tennis, fishing, and surfing ... all just a few minutes drive from McCracken B&B.
